Car Alarms: KEYLESS ENTRY/SECURITY SYSTEM, simple car alarm, circuit city

Question
ALARMTEK,

Hello, I would like to buy a keyless entry/security system for my daughter's 2006 Mitsubishi Lancer.  I have been quoted a price of $275 for the system, I'm not sure of all the features but it was recommended by the dealer where we bought the car.  I looked at Circuit City and Best Buy, both have systems for around $200(installed)but I understand the built in security system in the keys provided by Mitsubishi require additional parts ranging from $50 to $200.  I have two questions, 1.  Does the $275 sound reasonable to you?  2.  If there are additional parts required for standard systems (Viper and Phantom, for example) could you tell me about how much they are?

Thanks...John

Answer
For a simple car alarm and keyless entry, no more then
200.00 installed. If doing it yourself, you can save
140.00 easy! The extra parts would
only be if you were also adding a remote starter.
Her car has an ignition imobilizer that will prevent
the car from starting without the proper coded key.

If you want to see what's available to do this
project & save money, go see www.shop4caralarms.com .

I suggest either the Precision 200 or step up
to the Astra 777 2 way paging system.

Both are pretty easy installs here.

Let me know if I can help.
