Car Alarms: Viper Blinking Lights, land rover discovery, viper alarm

I have a 1996 Land Rover Discovery.  I bought the car used.  It can with a viper alarm preinstalled.  Recently, the light started blinking and no longer unlocked the car.  I thought it might be a battery issue, so I replaced the battery.  The light on the keyless remote still blinks and does not work.  Is there any way you can help me resolve this issue?

This is rather lengthy to write out, can you forward your email to me and I will attach a copy of a viper manual that you can use. From what I know about the brand they all program the same. The new units may be different but this manual should work for you.
