-----Question-----
I have a 1997 honda accord ex-v6. my husband was trying o pull the headlight fuse and pulled the srs fuse, which caused the alarm to go off so we unhooked the battery. Now everytime we go to hooked the battery up it makes the alarm go off. So I guess my question is how do i disarm the alarm? Thank you!
-----Answer-----
If it is the factory installed alarm then when you reconnect the battery have someone standing next to the driver's door with a key in the cylinder.  When the alarm goes off, just turn the key to the unlock position.  This action sends a ground pulse to the brain of the factory alarm, in turn telling it to disarm.  If it is not the factory alarm, if you get me the exact make and model I may be able to offer assistance in finding a manual for the system.

Answer
If you were not aware that you had the alarm, or do not have the remotes for it, I would suggest removing it, at least until you can get another remote for it.  The valet switch should be under the driver's side of the dash, but this is not always the case.  I have hidden them in glove boxes, trunks, and even rewired cigarette lighters to operate as the valet switch.  This is why I would suggest pulling the system, even if just temporary.  Take down the dash panel under the steering column, there you will find wires that were tapped into the factory ignition harness.  Following these wires out should reveal the alarm brain.  Once you have found the brain, remove all fuses leading to it and remove all connectors from the brain itself.  Be sure to insulate (tape) any connections that may be able to short out.  Once you have the system removed, post what the exact make and model of the system is and I will see what I can do about finding you a manual.
