Question
The horn honks, the headlights flash on and off, and the red light on the dash
below the radio flashes.  It is a factory installed alarm system.

-----Question-----
I installed a new battery in my 1992 jeep and now I can't get the alarm to turn
off. I've been told to lock/shut the door and open with the key and it still
does not turn off. Can't find a toggle near fuse box or near the hood release.
Any ideas?
Thank you

Please tell me what you are experiencing.

I need to determine whether it's a factory alarm
issue or, if it's an aftermarket system you are
dealing with.

Many veriables on this vehicle &
I Require a bit more imput please.

Is it: Headlights flashing, car horn honking
and a worded SECURITY" light in the dash flashing?
Or,
is it: flashing parking lights,
an LED in the dash area, and a siren
going off?

Let me know more on this to better
advise you on a course of action
to take, to help you to fix this
situation you're in quickly.

Answer
Ok, the FACTORY ALARM DISARM is green/orange
and is a |-| wire located in the driver's
kick panel. Once located, splice into it and
ground to the chassis.

This will terminate the factory alarm
and will solve the malfunctioning issue you
are experiencing.

Good luck with it.
