Car Alarms: 1999 Toyota 4Runner factory alarm, toyota 4runner, shock sensor

Question
Is there some way i can adjust down the sensitivity.  The alarm goes off for no reason so we are not using it at all.

Answer
This sounds as if the shock/impact
sensor is set too high. If you can
locate the alarm brain, or the shock sensor
attatched, I suggest unplugging it completely.

At this point, you would depend on the door
triggers to set off the alarm, and will
make for a nice quiet night, unless there is
of course, an actual breach.

Try to find it.

Let me know how you make out.
