Car Alarms: 1998 FORD RANGER, blowing the horn, ford dealership

Question
When I open the door the dome lights up and after the door is closed the light goes out in a timely fashion.  The horn does not start blowing after the doors are locked but five or six hours later.  After I reset the alarm with the remote, the horn will start blowing again in a half hour.

-----Question-----
If I lock my doors with the keyless remote after awhile the horn will start blowing.  The horn will stop by pressing the remote red button but will start again later.  Leaving the doors unlocked everything is ok.  It all started after changing a dome light bulb if that has anything to do with it.
-----Answer-----
Probably reading an open circuit.
If the dome light is on all the time,
or if the factory alarm "thinks" it is,
that's what you will need to look at.
This is probably why it goes off
right after arming. Might need to
be reset.

Best suggestion is to take it over
to the local Ford dealer, and have them
diagnose the issue. Best way really.

Let me know what you find out.

Answer
It appears to still see an open circuit.
The issue then here is to either track down
and repair the open circuit that is setting
off the lights and noise generator, or to
permanantly disable the system alltogether.

To do the latter, locate the factory alarm disarm
wire whicj is dk. green/purple in
the drivers kick panel, splice into it with
a simular guage wire, then put it to a solid
chassis ground. This will terminate the
noise and flash lights, but will still allow
for keyless entry.

If you simply want to know why, you can always
have a diagnostic done at the locak Ford dealership,
and see if it can be reset.

That's what I have on this one.

I hope it all works out.
