Car Alarms: remote chirping, shock sensor, protective glove

Question
I cannot find the manual that came w/ my Viking alarm, installed 2/2005, but recently every time I lock/unlock the car using the alarm remote, the remote gives a double chirp at regular intervals afterward ~ always three times.  I've changed the battery in teh remote, ensured that all the doors are actually fully closed ~ can't figure it out.

Wondering if you know what it might be, and then also where I might find a manual, and/or a protective "glove" for the remote, to protect from dropping, etc.

Really appreciate any advice you can give me ~

Answer
This does sound like your alarm thinks a zone is triggered.  You say you verified that all of the doors are closed and the dome light is off when this happens I would have to think it is either the hook pin, trunk pin, or maybe even a shock sensor that may have become faulty.

I am not familiar with the Viking brand alarms, but in doing some searching I came across this site: http://www.megatronixusa.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?Screen=CTGY&Category_Code=CO...
which lists the contact information for what appears to be the manufacturer of the system.

Hope this helps.
