Car Alarms: 95 Thunderbird security system, valet mode, toggle switch

Hi,  We seem to have set the security system for our car.  Any clue on how to reset or disable it.  Bought car used 3 months ago.

If it is the factory alarm you are referring to, unlocking the driver's door with the key would disarm it.

If it is an aftermarket alarm and it has a LED indicator, then I would suggest trying to put it back in valet mode.  To do this turn your ignition key to the run position and flip the small toggle switch (or press the button) that is normally mounted out of sight on the driver's side of the vehicle.
