Car Alarms: 2000 Accord Theft Deterrent System, theft deterrent system, honda oem

I purchased this vehicle last week.  It did not come with the remote entry key fob.  I bought the keyless entry fob from my local Honda Dealer and they programmed it for me.  The remote worked great up until yesterday. However, my alarm system will not activate when I press the "Lock Button" twice. (Once to lock the car and the second time to activate the alarm system).  I have ordered the Owners Manual but it will be 2-3 weeks before it arrives.  Have I somehow entered a "By-pass Mode" or "Valet Mode?"  If so, how do I correct this problem?  Any and all advice would br greatly appreciated.

Sorry, this one comes under the
HONDA OEM equipment blanket and I can not
speak intellegently on factory alarms save to say
I know how to circumvent them. LOL.

I specialize in the aftermarket applications
and not "Factory". Sorry bout that, however...
