Lexus Repair: power steering fluid leaking, high pressure hose, power steering fluid

Question
My 1994 LS 400 leaks power steering fluid, is it a way to identify if the pump is faulty, or the high pressure hose is leaking?

Do I have to fix the problem immediately, and is that something I attempt myself?  I have to add fluid about once a month to prevent the grounding noise when steering at low speed.

Thanks for your advice.

Answer
Hello Simon, Fluid runs down so keep that in mind when you are looking in that area. Both will leak so start at the top. If the pump is wet it needs a pump. Clean the hose well if you replace the pump with a can of brake clean and if the hose is leaking you will know it.
