Car Alarms: CARBINE 3000 REMOVAL, valet mode, chevy blazer

Question
My Late end 95 chevy blazer has the carbine 3000 alarm system. It auto resets but will not allow me to disarm it therefore I cant start the car. Do you have any advice on disarming it or removing it? I checked the battery in the remote and it's fine.

Answer
I am not familiar with that particular brand, but most systems offer a valet mode.  To enter valet mode on most, turn the ignition key to on, then flip the small metal switch that is mounted somewhere in the vehicle, typically on the driver's side.

To disconnect it altogether, you would pop down the dash under the steering column and remove all of components of the alarm and restore the connection to the starter wire.
