Auto Insurance Claims: neighbor backed into me, passenger doors, shared space

Question
My neighbor and I share a driveway and he backed into me while I was backing up into the shared space (we call it a turn around).  Through the course of conversation he took full responsiblity for the damage. (my front passenger and rear passenger doors were damaged - he just has paint scrapes on his bumper) We currently have a claim started with his insurance so I was wondering if I need to call my insurance company for anything.  We are just starting the claim process.  We live in MN.

Answer
Hi P,

You do not need to contact your insurance company. This sounds like a very cut & dry situation. His insurance company should pay for all damage as well as provide a rental car while yours is being repaired.

I hope this helps
