Car Alarms: disabling security system on 1992 jeep, jeep cherokee laredo, jeep cherokee

Question
Hi,
I inherited a 1992 Jeep Cherokee Laredo that seems to have bad wiring. The battery is constantly drained to the point of being a bad battery. When it drains and I try and jump it the factory-installed security system goes off so that it will not start. Is there a way I can disable the security feature permanently as I believe it is also contributing to the battery problem? Thanks,

Answer
The GREEN/ORANGE factory disarm wire
is in the harness to the drivers
door, inside the drivers kick.
Locate this wire splice
into it with the same guage wire,
then ground it to a solid chassis point.

This takes out the factory alarm for however
long you keep this wire grounded.

It is the only way I know of to get around
the factory alarm system in this truck.

If it's an aftermarket system,
then that's another story.

Let me know what happens.

A.
