Car Alarms: Acura 1.6 EL Sports Year 2000, factory alarm system, security systems

I need to know how to disable the factory alarm system because it's being triggered randomly. (Mostly when it's damp outside)
Please provide as much details as possible on how to disarm the factory alarm.

I am not familiar with the Acura EL, and after checking my resources I do not see a listing for the vehicle.  Most OEM security systems offer some type of manual disarm mechanism.  This is normally achieved by sending a ground through a specific wire when unlocking the door with the key.  If you can find this wire, send it to ground and your problem should go away.

I would however recommend taking a look at your pin switches, for the doors, hood, and trunk.  More than likely there is a hood pin that is shorting when it gets wet and trips the alarm.
