Car Alarms: car alarm, dodge durango, keyless entry system

Question
Hi, I have a 98 Dodge Durango and I just purchased a keyless entry off of ebay.
How do I program it without taking it to a Dealer and spend $90. Also the keyless
entry i bought was actually for a 99 dodge durango does it matter what year the keyless entry is for?

Did you purchase a keyless entry system or did you purchase a replacement key fob.  I am not familiar with how to program the key fob for the Durango but I came across this forum when answering a different question.  It may shed some light on it for you. http://dodgeram.info/tsb/2002/08-007-02.htm


If you purchased a key less entry system then the door locks are positive trigger orange/purple for lock and pink/purple for unlock located in the driver's kick panel in a blue plug.
