Motorcycle Repair: 1981 Yamaha XS 850 Special, yamaha xs 850, seat removal

1st of all I am try to get the seat off this bike - I know od one latch, 2nd getting the gas tank off and 3rd setting the Master Idle, where would that be located as well? thanks

Hi Patrick,

Seat Removal:
Unlock seat lock, work seat lever.

Fuel Tank Removal:
Remove fuel tank bolt bolt at base of seat, disconnect hoses & wiring, remove tank.

Carburetor Idle Adjuster:
The adjuster is located between the left and center carbs.
