Car Alarms: 2004 honda accord alarm going off intermittently, factory bulletins, shock sensor

Question
yes, that is what we experience.  I know for sure it is a factory Honda alarm.  We had to buy a new key when it broke (from the dealer), and they reprogrammed it.

We will be sitting inside and then just hear the horn beeping and then I go out and see the lights flashing as well as if the anti theft system has been tripped.

Thanks again.

-----Question-----
Have you ever heard of this problem with a 2004 Honda Accord with a factory alarm?  I have searched for factory bulletins but only found them for different year models.

The alarm has gone off a few nights for no apparent reason.  We tried to manually set it off and could not, but no signs of forced entry or anything like that.

Thanks in advance.
-----Answer-----
Please describe what the alarm is doing
when it goes off.

I can't exactly tell what this is unless I have
a bit more please.

The alarm from the factory works with the door locks.
It would honk the car horn and flash the headlights
plus immobilize the vehicle starter. Is this what you
are experiencing? If so are you using the key to
get in, or a remote?

If you are experiencing a siren or parking lights
flashing, this indicates an aftermarket system.

Let me know.

Answer
Well that is a problem then. I would take it up to the
Honda dealer to check all trigger points to
determine what it is that is triggering they're system.

My expertise is in the aftermarket applications.
This one from the sounds of it is the factory
system detecting an open circuit.

There is nothing you or I could do to
correct this issue, save to take it in
for them to inspect.

If it was an aftermarket piece with a shock
sensor, we could have probably found the issue
and corrected it. This time it's something
they need to attend to.

I hope they nail it for you.

Luck with it.
