Car Alarms: 2003 Chevy Impala, chevy impala, audiox

Question
We jus bought this car from the dealership and we have had trouble with the alarm system. It has a prestige remote and the alarm wont let the car start. I also think that it drained the battery. Is there a way to solve this before we can get to the dealership to have them uninstall the alarm

Audiovox makes good quality alarms, I would recommend trying to repair whatever the problem is prior to removing it.  Unfortunately any system is only as good as the quality of the installation.  With that said, I would recommend you get the installation manual from audiox's website, they allow free access and have the manuals available for download in pdf format.  Just head over to techservices.audiovox.com, click the sign up link and follow the directions.  Once you have the manual, check over the installation to ensure that the connections were made properly and that nothing has come loose.
