Car Alarms: DISENGAGE 93 JEEP GRAND CHEROKEE ALARM, jeep grand cherokee, location designation

Question
I have a '93 Jeep Grand Cherokee.  I need to disengage the stupid factory alarm system because the remote is broke and the lights just flash and the security light on teh dash stays on and drains the battery.  Anyway, i read the advise for disengaging the '95 Jeep Cherokee you gave.  It said to open the panel by the driver's foot and permanently ground the Purple/Yellow Wire in the black plug to the vehicle.  Problem is --- There is no purple and yellow wire.  I am wondering, what color do i need to do this to for a '93?

Answer
It is the VIOLET WITH YELLOW STRIPE (-)
IN THE DRIVER'S KICK PANEL "BLACK PLUG".
All of the databases for vehicle,s I have,
8 different & renound sources, all agree
on color-location-designation of the factory
disarm wire.

Please look again. it is coming into the vehicle from
the drivers door. It is there. Once located, ground
out the wire to the frame. That turns off the system forever.

Good luck.
