Car Alarms: Valet mode, valet mode, fuel injection system

Question
I have a Viper alarm in my 2001 Chevy S-10 Extreme. I was driving and the truck went completely dead on me. I just discovered the valet mode has been on since I bought the truck. Could the valet mode cause the car battery to go dead? Everything else checks out find with the truck.

Answer
No, the "Valet" is overide/reset. If anything, that would
allow you to go back to pre installed condition.

You seem to have an engine or, electrical issue
as opposed to the alarm. Car alarms can not
stop your vehicle while driving. They do not
do that. If it has starter kill, it
could only engage with the igintion off.

Have them check the fuel injection system, and
also the PASSLOCK II system in your truck.

But I don't think it's an aftermarket alarm issue here.

Good luck with it.
