Car Alarms: install help?, power door locks, negative inputs

Question
I have a comanndo 520-4dlk alarm. It came with power door locks . I would like to know how to hhok up the power door lock wires . the door lock wires are green and blue  in the alarm but white and brown from the power door lock.

Answer
Ok, By The Book...
....The power door lock kit supports keyless entry
and alarm system inputs. This will allow you
to remotely lock and unlock your doors. On the
wiring harness, you should have a WHITE and BROWN
wire left over. Once of those wires are lock and
the other is unlock. We must determine which is
which as it depends on the way the actuator is mounted.

Take the BROWN wire and tap it to chassis ground (-).
It will either lock or unlock your doors. Whatever
it does will designate the BROWN wire. The white would
be the opposite. Ex... If you tap the brown wire to
ground and it locks the doors, then brown is lock
and green is unlock.

The unit only accepts negative (-) inputs from
your remote unit. Connect your negative (-) lock
wire from the keyless remote to the lock wire on
the power lock kit. Then connect your negative
(-) unlock wire from the keyless remote to the
unlock wire on the power lock kit. It should then
operate from remote once you finish the installation
of that product.

**NOTE** Always isolate your lock kit and keyless
remote installations. Install and test each one at
a time. Once you are confident each works as described
connect the 2 together. This helps eliminate problamatic
variables.

The brown and white will get the green or blue
from your 520 unit.

I hope this helps.
