Car Alarms: Keyless remote for Montero Sport, mitsubishi montero sport, mitsubishi montero

I have a 97' Mitsubishi Montero sport that came without its Remote transmiter. and also have a unused Remote transmiter from a newer Ford Pickup (2005) Can this remote be programmed in to the Old Mitsu? How?

No sorry, there are infinate frequencies that are used
for this sort of thing. It would be more
then unlikely, that the remote you found
could be used to control the door locks
for this car, or anything else other
then what was intended when manufactured.

However, a new keyless remote system is only 39.99,
so that would be the best way to proceded here
in my opinion. Easy install and done in
less then 1 hour with the right tools, and
wire color chart for the Mits. Up to you though.
Your way unfortunately, is not an option.
