Car Alarms: 2003 impala passlock disable, sensor replacement, remote start

Question
My paslock system is acting up and my car won,t start. If I wait 10 minutes it starts
I am being told that it is the passlock sensor
I also saw a sugestion to install a passlock bypass ie remote start system and it would correct the problem without the costly passlock sensor replacement
What do you think and do you sell just a passlock bypass

Answer
The problem you missed here Fred, is that the bypass
systems are designed to work on FUNCTIONAL GM Passlock
devices. However, from what I read from your question,
it is not. That repair needs to be done first.
Wish I could offer better news, but
if you have been told that the sensor is
or has gone bad, then you should address it first.

I do sell the module that bypasses this car's
system however, and they are 63.00 for the self
learning one specific to this car. I can certainly
sell it to you if you like, no problem there,
but it may not work if it's a factory
part that's bad. That being said, you may just be
spending money for no reason.

Have GM check it out first. If you are convinced that
you just want to permanantly bypass it, Let me know.
I will sell you the one you need to do it with.
But again, no guaranty that it will solve your specific
issue.
