Car Alarms: unresponsive remote, brain box, accedentally

Question
i have a viper alarm and i am having problems with the remote becomming unresponsive after activating the alarm. Senario: I go to class and activate the alar. when i come out to leave i hit the unlock button and nothing happens. I even changed the battaries on both remotes and i still have the problem. another thing i notice is that the light that is supposed to tell you that the valet light is not flashing but all the doors are locked. when i open it with the key the alarm goes off.
I have another question: does temperature changes have anything to do with this. what about other viper remotes can there be another viper user overriding my remote accedentally. Im about to scrap the viper and just let somone steal my car this is frustrating. i have a p500 model

Answer
Sounds as if you have a cascade failure in the brain of
the Viper. Best bet is to do what you said. Scrap the Viper, but replace it with one that's better. The car still
needs keyless and alarm, but the alarm you have is
just about to fail completely. Without bench testing that,
I can't swear to it, But I have seen this all to often
from DEI to tell you that that's what you should expect.

I am having a good sale at the moment. You might find
something there that would to a better job for you.

In any case, yes, unplug the brain box to stop the problem.
I hope to help you into another one soon.

Be well.
