>I just installed a Falcon Predator EVO4 alarm/immobiliser system in my 1993 Toyota Celica ST182 (UK model).
<<<<<gotcha...

>Everything seemed to work fine ... immobiliser worked, alarm worked, central locking worked. .....Ok....

>Then I closed the door. On attempting to arm the system, it refuses to operate the central locking. It worked fine with the door open (fat lot of good).

<<<are you on the right wires?
Power Lock: BLUE/BLACK DRIVER'S KICK PANEL **
Power Unlock: BLUE DRIVER'S KICK PANEL **

>> Yes, I'm definitely on those wires ... in the installation manual it refers to them as "down" and "up". I took "down" to mean "lock" and "up" to mean "unlock", so connected them like that. As I say, the power lock function works with the doors open, which I took to mean those wires were connected OK.

>I assume there's a connection I've failed to make properly ... most likely I think is a wire from the system labelled "door trigger input".

<<< move that wire to the red/white at the fuse box

>> Would this not have the same effect as connecting to the red/white wire on the door pillar that goes to the dome light? I tried it that way and no luck. I'll go out now and reconnect to the red/white at fusebox (beside the blue/black mentioned above).

BUT ... the "central locking" multi-connector on my alarm system has 4 wires for my type of system. The diagram advises green to "down", blue to "up", pink and orange to "Main Line".

What I've done is green (down) to "blue/black", blue (up) to "blue", and am not entirely sure where to put the orange and pink (main line). I had them connected to the red/white wire you mention. Do you know which wire is this "main line"?

Also, I assume i can ignore the wire I have for positive door trigger input, as my system is negative?

<<<<locate the lock and unlock wires, and if incorrect, correct it.

They seem to be in the right places.

Thanks for your help ... appreciate it!

Answer
Ok good going on the door tigger move.
On the locks, it appears you may be dealing with the UK version of "child safety locks", and that you need to send
a negative pulse to the control wire for that off
of the unlock wire to do that at the same time.
In the UK version, look for the blue/red wire in the same plug as the lock and unlock, and splice off
a wire off the unlock then to the blue/red.
when you go to remotely unlock, this would also
pulse the blue/red, allowing for unlock.

see child safety door lock system on my site

let me know what happens.
