Question -
I have a 1996 Acura 2.5 TL,  every morning at 7:45 the alarm goes off.  I cannot find any information on the system such as a reset procedure or diagram to check the fuses etc.  Any advice.
Answer -
Odd that it goes off at the same time every morning.
Sounds like it has issues yes, but it's doing it's job.
I also think it's an aftermarket alarm system
you have there, and may have an impact sensor installed.

Do you perhaps park with other cars and have a truck or,
motorcycle that leaves in the morning at that time?
Possible.  Please go to www.remotesunlimited.com
and using the remote you have, look up
the manufacturer. I might be able to help further
once I can ID what you have there. Also let me know
the common things associated with it going off.
We may be able to disern from that pattern, what
is setting the alarm to trigger at 7:45am daily.

Thanks for getting back to me so soon.   There is no external common factor, it does it in the garage, in the driveway, in the parking lot at work, where ever.  So my guess is that it must be with the system.  Yes there is an aftermarket alarm also; however, I disconnected the horn to it and it still goes off.  There is no remote, there is a computer chip type thing that must be inserted and removed in a box that was put in under the dash.  The alarm is Securacode, manufactured by Protectronics.  I attempted to locate any information regarding this on the internet to find nothing.  I'm assuming the company is now defunct.  Right now I have disconnected both horns and am hoping this solves the problem with the neighbors being irritated.  Thanks again for your help, and any further help would be greatly appreciated.

Answer
Ok, it's probably the alarm system with the siren
causing the trouble here. Look under the dash
area. There should be a push button or
a flip type toggle switch installed there somewhere.
probably left of your knee.

Put the key in the ignition, turn on just before
cranking, then press and hold in the button until
the LED in the dash comes on solid. (if the siren
was still operable, it would chirp at this point
as well)
This would be valet/overide and then would
solve the siren going off. The aftermarket
system will stay off until you repeat those
steps.

If it's the car's own horn that was/is sounding,
this would be a different thing, but in this case,
you should try this procedure first.
Go look around for the valet switch.

The other device that requires a key,
is probably a starter kill, aftermarket system
the dealer installed to make a sale. But no
siren would be involved there, so leave that be.

If no joy, also look in the car to see if a door ajar
light is on in the dash when you feel the car is locked
and armed. Even the trunk light could set off the factory
alarm if left on. But I still think it's the aftermarket
alarm malfunctioning.

Let me know what you come up with
