Car Alarms: Alarm for 92 Camaro, alarmtek, stage motion

Question
92 Camaro with key chip ignition disabler - want to purchase an alarm but most come with a starter disabler - will one cancel the other out?
Best alarm for this vehicle (has T-tops)

Answer
Actually Ed, most alarms have a starter kill
output (optional) and in your car,
it would not be used.

The chip in the key IS starter kill. Without
it, no way to simply hotwire this car, so that's
a good thing. At this point, I would say the best
bang for the buck would be an ASTRA/GALAXY 777 or 7E7
system with paging. The 7E7 would be the better of
the 2 system on this particular car because
of the built in polarity changing door lock relays.
I would only add a 2 stage motion sensor if
prone to leaving the T tops off. This would detect
mass in motion in a 180 degree pattern around the middle
of the car, and trigger when disturbed. Nice way to
be able to protect it completely.

Have a look at www.pagingalarm.com  and then when/if
ready, email me at INSTALLSUPPORT@AOL.COM with your
choice and desired accessories. I will send back an
itemized payment link for all. Once done, I will
also send the wiring data needed to do the job for
the 92 Camaro.

Let me know what you think. If remote start is desired,
you would also need a PASSLOCK II bypass module to
get around that chip in your key.
