I am installing a viper 350hv in a '91 VW vanagon. It comes with the harness for the auto door locks, but no wiring diagram..  where can I get a diagram for this...  the rest of the system works great, just need the locks to work.. Thanks..
Answer -
The Vanagon has 3 wire POSITIVE locks.
If your system only has negative door lock outputs,
you would need a door lock relay module
or, 2 relays to make your alarm work
the door lock system in this vehicle.

Door lock relay modules run 8.95
2 relays and sockets are 12.95.

See them at www.12voltplanet.com

I have the solenoid for locks. The "installation guide" says that the diagram for them is an optional item avalible to dealers(document no. 1041).  I need to know where the average joe can get acopy of the diagram. I am a VW mechanic, and quite fermiliar with their systems, I am just not sure about the solenoid..

Answer
You'd need to get the OEM part
from VDub I'd think?

Check a Chilttons manual, then maybe JC WHITNEY
if not available there.

An aftermarket solinoid is 10 bucks and 2 relays would be 12.95. This tied into your alarm would solve this issue
pretty quickly, but I don't know much about OEM stuff.
Sorry.
