Car Alarms: viper car alarm, valet mode, viper car alarm

Question
i have a 98 mustang with a viper car alarm, i have lost the remotes but have a key and know where the valet button is.  im going to sell my car and am trying to figure out either how to obtain a new remote or how to disarm or unplug so i can operate without the alarm in the meantime.  any help would be much appreciated

Answer
Go to www.remotesunlimited.com and try
to match up the remote to the system you have.
Try this until then:
Put the key in the ignition, and turn forward
all the way just before cranking. Then within
5 seconds, locate, press and hold in the
valet/overide button, found under the
dash area, (push button, spring loaded)
until the installed LED (the blinking light)
in your dash area goes on solid,
and the siren chirps once.

This is overide/valet mode. You can pull
the brain now, or locate the remote and reprogram it.
Or simple disable it now, and sell it as is. Let the next guy go through all of that, or choose a better alarm.

That should do it.

Good luck.
