Car Alarms: Viper alarm doesnt lock doors, 1993 mazda mx6, power door locks

Question
I have a 1993 Mazda MX6 that came with a Viper alarm when I bought it (used). The only way that I know it is Viper is because that's when it says on my remote. Since I bought the car the alarm only arms and disarms and sounds an alarm if the door is opened. The car has power door locks and when I hit the switch to arm or disarm, I can hear a click coming from the door locks but the locks do not open or close. The guy I bought the car from told me that it used to control the locks, but since he changed the battery on the car, it needs reprogramming to lock/unlock the doors. How can I reprogram the alarm so that it locks and unlocks the doors when I arm and disarm the alarm?

Answer
I don't think the trouble is in the alarm,
so much as the actuator in the drivers door.
I was put in aftermarket, and if you hear
sounds coming from it, when you hit the unlock
or lock button, that tells ne the relays are
working all the way up to the actuator/motor
itself. Best guess is that it either got wet
and burned out, or was zapped when the new
battery was put on.

You can have that checked out, but it's
more likely then the alarm not controlling it.

Pull the door panel, get a new door lock
actuator, and replace.

Let me know what you find.
