Car Alarms: disable 1996 dodge caravan factory alarm, dodge caravan, ohm resistor

Question
Hi
I have a 1996 dodge caravan, the factory alarm keeps going off when doors open or vehicle started, I have no remote for the vehicle and the door lock on the passanger and rear hatch wont work for the key, ive tried all fuses and relays and cant figure out which one is for alarm, its to the point where i have to pull the headlight relay and drive with the four ways on.  I need to disable this alarm anyway possible by cutting wires or removing fuses or whatever will work.  Will you help me, any help you could be would be great
also ive tried to disconnect neg terminal and put key in on for 40 secs and also start for 40 secs with no success
thanks
adam

Answer
The trouble here is the multiplexing
alarm system in this truck disarms
automatically when you unlock the doors.
Your system may be damaged.
You can probably fix this by adding an aftermarket
alarm and keyless system to control the door
lock/unlock. If you did this, it
would send a negative pulse through
a 665 ohm resistor on pin 30 of a relay,
then to  the disarm/unlock wire.

It's a bit involved, but would correct the trouble
I believe. This is assuming there is nothing wrong
with the OEM factory system. If there
are any issues involving the factory alarm,
(you said the key is not disarming the system)
then that would have to be addressed when you
install it. Short of that, you would need to contact
Dodge and have them inspect/reset or repair it.
That would be a pricey alternative.

Good luck with it.
Not the easiet vehicle to work with.
