Car Alarms: Disabling car alarm with starter kill, dash area, starter wire

Question
I have a 91 pontiac grand am, recently the car has died no juice not turning over or anything. We charged the battery today for about four hours.. we got a little bit of power and it turned over with some lights. I have had a car alarm in it since I got it but stopped using it with the car because it would randomly go off, while we were charging the battery something must have tripped the system and my alarm started blinking like it was set, the car doesnt have enough juice to sound the alarm however the starter kill is enabled and not letting us start the car.. I dont know what kind of alarm this is or where to even start! I need help!~

Answer
Don't panic. This is common
when it sees power. It triggered and is doing
it's job. You need to get the battery up to snuff.
then try this:

Put the key in the ignition, and turn forward
all the way just before cranking. Then within
5 seconds, press and hold in the valet/overide
button, found under the dash area,
until the installed LED (the blinking light)
in your dash area goes on solid, and the siren chirps once.
(Your valet switch might be the toggle (on/off) type.
in this case, key on, flip switch in opposite direction,
key off.)

This should reset the alarm, and reset
the grounded relay on the starter wire,
allowing you to start it. At this point,
the only thing working would be
keyless entry from the alarm,
if it came equipped.

Just Repeat these steps to place it
back to usable armed mode.

That should do it.
If you want to remove it at this point,
take it to your neighborhood installer
for this, or buy the wiring chart (www.vehiclewires.com)
for the vehicle, and reverse engineer it wire
by wire, until safely removed.

If it does not work out this way,
you will have to replace the system
with one you know how to operate
and what to expect. Don't want to
get stuck in another bad situation.

Let me know what happens.
