Car Alarms: black widow alarm system, nissan altima gxe, black widow alarm

Question
i have a 1993 nissan altima gxe.when i press my key to set the alarm on i don't hear the chirp or any type of signal.  what do i need to do.  this is a black widow ignition kill auto alarm system.  the only thing that does happen is that the park lights and the interior lights come on when i press my key to activate, and the red led light is continously blinking when activated, it doesn't make the chirpping sound when i go to activate the alarm system, but it used to.basically what i'm trying to say is i have no  chirpping beeps at all and i use to.  I don't remeber what and which way it came.  but there were one beeps for a certain portion like for the door or something and then there would be two chirpps for something else i don't remember.  can  you assist me in any way.  it would be greatly appreciated very much.  last but not least can you answer to this question also.  on my key the left side button is it to activate and press it once and the right side button to deactivate and press once or what and how do they work. i believe that on the left side of the key is to activate and the right side button on my key is to deactivate.  am i correct.  thank you. i await for your timely response.  basically when i go to activate the alarm i have to always go to look and see if my park lights come on to know that the alarm is activated, otherwise there isn't any other way of knowing. can you assist me in getting my alarm back on track to the chirps that it is suppose to make when its activated and when it gets deactivated.  thank you.

Answer
Short of inspecting the system, try to put it
in and out of valet mode. This is a system overide,
and would reset it.

But if it's in silent mode, then that would
need the manual. From what you've told me so far,
this system was activated,
but not reset.
The always flashing LED tells me that much.

Ok, try this.
Put the key in the ignition, and turn forward
all the way just before cranking. Then within
5 seconds, press and hold in the valet/overide
button, found under the dash area,
until the installed LED (the blinking light)
in your dash area goes on solid, and the siren chirps once.
(Your valet switch might be the toggle (on/off) type.
in this case, key on, flip switch in opposite direction,
key off.)

This should reset the alarm, and reset
the grounded relay on the starter wire,
allowing you to start it. At this point,
the only thing working would be
keyless entry from the alarm,
if it came equipped.

Just Repeat these steps to place it
back to usable armed mode.

If you do not get the car to start, or the alarm
to reset at this point, contact blackwidow for some
support on they're system.

This website belew should have a manual you can download
for your system to troubleshoot:

http://www.dlcparts.com/frontend/p_subcat.asp?Category_No=10000004

Or start out at www.blackwidowsecurity.com
locate your system, then the manual for it.
But like I said, it sounds as if it's actually in alarm mode currenlty, and you need to get it back into usable
status. Try the valet/overide solution first.

Good luck with it.
Let me know how you did.
