Car Alarms: remote start, alarmtek, dash area

Question
My remote start car alarm  Galaxy 5000 RSW remote start car alarm will not start my car. All it does is chirp five times and it clicks like it is trying to start and my keypad signals that it is crunk but it does nothing.

Answer
Hello Ira,
Try resetting the alarm system by valet switch,
According to the notes for this system
you are in valet/overide mode right now.(5 chirps)
(see attatched file near bottom)

Ok, try this.
Put the key in the ignition, and turn forward
all the way just before cranking. Then within
5 seconds, press and hold in the valet/overide
button, found under the dash area,
until the installed LED (the blinking light)
in your dash area goes on solid, and the siren chirps once.

This should reset the system

Repeat it to go back into valet.

Let me know what happens. I am
no located an 1 1/2 north in Land o lakes, and do not travel
that far south any longer. If you neeed closer help with it,
I can suggest an installation partner in Venice.
