Car Alarms: Hi Alarmtek, I am looking..., vehicle security system, keyless entry system

Hi Alarmtek,

I am looking for a vehicle security system, to which at least a shock sensor and a glass sensor can be attached and that would page me or otherwise notify me remotely when the car is being tampered with. I have not installed a car alarm before so the system should be fairly easy to install. I do not need any other functions like remote start or keyless entry or a siren.

What can you suggest? I have seen systems like Astra 777, Crimestopper CM2500 and Commando long range car monitor pager and cannot decide - or maybe there is a better system than any of the listed?

The ASTRA 777 at 89.95 is a great system, has what you asked for
and more. You will of course get a siren & basic keyless entry with any system,
but for a novice, the 777 beats the others as far as easy to
understand and implement instructions. This. has a 2 stage impact sensor
and will notify you immediately when the vehicle is tampered with.
