Car Alarms: Car alarm, mazda millenia, 1998 mazda millenia

I just bought a 1998 mazda millenia and it didn't have the manual w/it. i noticed when i lock my doors, there is a red light that blinks and says security. does that mean there is an alarm on the vehicle?  Also when i tried to install a new alarm in it keeps making a honking sound and setting off, what should i do?

The alarm is having conflict issues.
It does have a factory alarm, and you will need to
add the factory car alarm disarm wire from your
after market alarm to control both.

Go back to the installer and insist he complete
his installation.
