Car Alarms: BMW factory car alarm, system beeps, bmw factory

Question
Just bought a 1998BMW 323is. Alarm system beeps as if armed when activation button on remote is pushed, but doors do not lock and the alarm system does not arm. Is this a programming issue and how would I program the alarm system. Appears to be an Alpine alarm system. Remote has a new battery.

  I however do not have the info you need to re program them here. I suggest going to www.AUTOTECHS.com and
ask for Walton Guerrero there for some programing
assistance. There may be a fee, but he specializes
in this sort of thing.
