Car Alarms: Explorer Alarm/remote start install help, ford explorers, will most likely need

Question
Ok, i have a 1998 Ford Explorer XLT. I just bought a ScyTek Galaxy 5000 PLus 2 way Alarm with remote start, glass sensor and power window rollup. Since I saw that youve installed the Scytek's often, ill ask you. First question is,1: For the door Locks, i hooked up as the book says, The green wire to the pink/yellow wire and the blue wire to the pink/green wire. It doesnt work. Do i ground the red wire like in the other post i saw? Second question: For the remote start, i need an alarm bypass module? correct? does it matter which one i get? thank you.

Answer
Well, I am a bit limited here since I was not the seller.
It is they're responsibility to assist you on this phase
of the sale since they took your money.
If I sold it to you, it would be my job to
get you through this part too.

The level of assistance you are looking for here
is reserved for my equipment buying customers.
I am Sorry.

I will go as far as saying that you should get the
wiring chart for this truck, (www.WIREWERX.com)
taht gives an explaination as to what wire does what,
and how to wire relays for the
locking system you have.
(www.relayhelp.com) It will make the
a bit more job understandable.

Oh &  by the way, if
you ground that red wire, you will blow the
lock relays on the system's eprom
in the alarm brain. Not so good. And yes, most
of the 1998 Ford Explorers did come with the PATS
system in the ignition column. You will most likely
need a bypass and a spare transponder key to put
in the bypass to remote start.

My advice?
Get some help from your seller.
You will need it on this job!

Good luck with it.
