Car Alarms: CAR ALARM PROBLEMS, toyota celica, fuse box

Question
HI<
I have a 2002 toyota celica. I just installed a new alarm. The alarm works good. Everything is working fine, but sometimes the headlights come on and wont go off. There is some kind of sensor that makes them come on automatically when it gets dark. I can push on the bcm or the fuse box and they will flicker at the same time I can hear a relay flicker too. I didnt cut into in wires dont know the problem. This problem happened after the alarm was installed. HELP if you can
THANKS,
JOHN

Answer
The only way to find out if it's the alarm
is to remove it from the equation. Unplug the
brain for a bit, and see if the trouble
persists. The sensor that detects when it's dark
is a normal function. If "flickering" then
it seems as if you may have not tightened
down everything. I would go back in and
check ALL connections and make certain
all points that are supposed to be grounded
are. That is usually the culprit.

Go back in and look it over.
