Car Alarms: Extra part for new chevys?, gm passlock, passlock ii

I was recently told that to install an alarm on my 04 trailblazer, there is an extra part besides the alarm itself that I have to install. Is that true, and if so can you please tell me what part I need. Thank you, Chris

This is true. You need a module
that will do the locks and the OEM
security bypass. This is the DEI 455G module,
& runs approxamately 55. to 65 dollars.

You also need the GM PASSLOCK II
bypass module for the ignition overide but
ONLY if you are doing remote start!(25.)
