Car Alarms: 2000 Dodge Dakota Keyless Entry, remote car starter, door switches

Question
Thanks for your quick reply.  You state in your reply that I may just be in the wrong location.  If not in the dirvers kick panel wiring then where?  At the CTM located in the passenger side of the dash?  When I hook up the 5 wire relays in the drivers kick panel wiring, I get a positive feed back from the lock side of the wiring to the unlock side when the unlock buttons  are activated.  This is what is causing the unlock to not function.  Is it possible that I have the wrong kind of relay?  The relay I am using indicates terminals 85 & 86 are the activation coil. Terminals 87 & 87a connected at rest, Terminals 87 & 30 connected during activation. I am wiring the system as in this picture .

Hello and thanks for being here,

I have just about completed the installation of a Magnadyne Marksman M6a Remote Car Starter.  The start system works just fine.  What I need help with is the remote door locks.  My truck has remote entry but not the alarm.  The CTM is located next to the glove box in the passenger side dash.  I have attempted to wire in relays to provide a positive pulse to the Orange/Purple and Pink/Purple wires located in the drivers kick panel (wires coming from the connector to the door locks.  In this configuration the doors will lock if unlocked but will not unlock with the key fob.    I was advised to wire the system with the 5-wire alternating 12v positive door lock configuration.  With this set up I can get the doors to lock and unlock with the key fob but then the door switches become inactive.  I believe I will need to be making the connections for the wireless entry of the remote starter to the wires at the CTM.  If that is true, to which wires will I need to connect and is this still positive pulse?  Sorry for the long post but I feel history and details are important.

In the 2000 Dodge Dakota
it does set up as:

orange/purple or green/black
Positive (+) drivers kick panel
Power Door (Unlock) (+) Door Unlock pink/purple
Positive (+) drivers kick panel
However,
If the truck came from the factory keyless entry,
you do have to 5 wire the unlock wire.

This may be your trouble.
Try to re do this set up again.
The unlock sounds incorrect.

I think you are simply on the wrong loaction to do it,
or you have the 5 wire done incorrectly.

Try again.

Answer
Hard for me to say what is wrong at this point
not being there to inspect. It can even be a bad
relay. See relay applications at www.relayhelp.com
and look at 5 wire reverse. If you think you
have it correctly wired, then try replacing
the relay to be certain. It seems as if it
may be the only thing left to try.

Finally, I would contact the people you purchased
it from for more support on they're product.
They should help you with this. I can only
provide limited support here on products I did
not sell. They should be able to pick up the
ball here for you and help you finish it up.

Good luck with it.
