Car Alarms: How To program an Auto Mate Keyless remote, chevy astro, valet mode

Question
Hi there:

I just purchased a 2000 Chevy Astro that came with an after market alarm installed.

The dealer gave me 1 working remote and 2 matching remotes that have working batteries, but do not lock/unlock the van

The remotes all say Auto Mate with an FCC ID of EZSDEI476 and a remote number of RPN-476A.

There is a sticker on the driver's side window that says "Checkmate"

Do you have any idea of how I can program the 2 non-working remotes. Also you know where I can get an owners manual?

Thanks for your help

Answer
No I don't supply individual manufacturers
user or, installation wiring manuals here.

You would need to actually get into the
underdash and either pull n replace the system,
or, locate the valet switch (might be an alarm too)
and reset it. Ok, try this:
Put the key in the ignition, and turn forward
all the way just before cranking. Then within
5 seconds, press and hold in the valet/overide
button, found under the dash area,
until the installed LED (the blinking light)
in your dash area comes on solid.
(Your valet switch might be the toggle (on/off) type.
in this case, key on, flip switch in oposite direction,
key off.)

This should be valet. This overides
the starter kill relay in the alarm harness,
and returns the car back to disarmed mode.
The only thing that will work now on your system,
is the keyless entry if installed.

Just Repeat these steps if trying to
reset or to rearm your system.

The trouble there is that most alarms keyless
systems would also do the door locks even in valet
mode. If you lost the programing on the remotes,
you would need to contact an Automate seller, (www.directed.com) to gain support or,
you can also go to www.REMOTESUNLIMITED.com
and see if they will help.

I hope this helps you.
Wish I could have done more.
