Car Alarms: Car Alarm/RS Upgrade, ground ignition, remote starter

Question
I currently have a separate remote starter and alarm.

I am upgrading to an LCD RS/Alarm combo. Can I solder the prexisting wires that I need to the new wires or should I un-wire everything and start fresh?

Well, it is not always the best idea to go to exssiting
wiring if unsure of what they do, but in most
cases the power, ground, ignition, door triggers and
locks (if installed correctly last time around)
should do the same things they did before.

Still, I would get the wiring chart for your
vehicle before hand so you have a good map of
where to go and what to do. That will make
your transfer job a hell of alot easier.
