Car Alarms: 2000 Tahoe Remote Start/Alarm, chevy tahoe, starter car

Question
Thanks for the diagram, but one more question.  I was reading some wires from the bcm when 2 fuses popped.  I replaced them and now truck will start but wont stay on, it just shuts off after about 3 or 4 seconds.  The security light just stays on and also my interior lights wont come on.  What if anything can I do so I dont have to take it to the dealership?  Thanks in advance.

Here is the type of remote start/car alarm I bought: DELTA PRO 5005 FM 2 WAY LCD PAGER  REMOTE STARTER CAR ALARM.  I bought it because a freind at work said he knew how to put them in.  Well now he wont come over and help install it.  I bought it off of ebay.  Did I waste my money buying it or is it possible to install.  I have some knowledge of reading wires, voltages but it is limited.  When it comes to relays and things I dont have a clue.  Thanks in advance

How about the guys you bought it from?
It's up to them to make sure you get the
support you need on that system. I don't
sell or support it here, and I do not
support the sales of my competitors, but if
you are a novice at this, I would most certainly
call a pro on this project. Too many things
can go wrong if you do not know what you
are doing.

You truck has positive locks (relays needed)
and passlock II (bypass module needed) to get it
installed, and the notes from WIREWERX.com would
make it easier, but yes, bottom line, it's
caviot emptor (buyer beware).
when shopping at an auction house.
In this case, "as is" is not a bargain
at all.

I sell at a bit higher prices, because I not
only sell the products, I help install my
systems after the sale online.

Best suggestion is to try contacting the seller,
and see what they can offer you for help.
Bad form to sell you something and then disapear.

Maybe next time, we'll see ya at my
store? Hope so, Sure would make your life
easier.

Good luck with it.

Answer
oooh, bad. Um try going to the master fuses
under the hood and check all the heavy amperage
30 40 amp fuses. My hunch is that you
shorted one of them out, and it controls all of
those functions you are missing. Could be 2.
Then if they are all intact, move on to
the under dash fuses.

Here's the rub, if these are all fine too,
then you gots trouble bud. You would then need
the dealer to sort it out with the GM diagnostic
comp system. Bout a 90. visit.

Go find the blown fuse.
Betcha that's it.

Let me know what you find.
