Car Alarms: Automate 425 problem, brain box, faulty system

Question
Hello I have a problem with my Automate 425 car alarm. It will work fine for about a month, then for some reason it will not arm when I press my remote. I had this problem before and took it to a car alarm retailer and they reprogrammed remote for 30.00 dollars. It took them 5 minutes. Well it did it again a month later. The manual says to simply press the lock button on my remote to re-sync the codes. It doesnt work though. The LED light on my dash stays off. Nothing. Is there a way i can fix this without spending more money? Thanks.

Answer
It could be anything from a week transmitter,
or reciving brain box, to re positioning the
brain box antenna for optimum range. If it's
the system's remote, then no, this will cost
some cash to replace the faulty system for
one that produces the result you want,
ALL THE TIME.

One last time to the alarm install shop I think,
then if no joy, spend the bucks to replace it with
a more reliable system. Makes all the difference
in the world with the right equipment.

Good luck with it.
