Car Alarms: Remote Auto Starters, remote auto starters, jeep cherokee

Question
Thanks for the FAST reply. You mentioned that in order to install the remote starter, I would need relays and a bypass? Can you let me know exactly the model and/or type I will need to complete the installation? The starters are Christmas gifts and I want to explain to the people exactly what they will need to purchase after I give them the starters to get them to work right. Thanks again.....

Hi. I would like to know what brand of remote auto starter you suggest (just the starter-no alarm). I have a 2004 Jeep Cherokee and a 2001 Dodge Intrepid. I was thinking about the Commando EZ 2500. Any thoughts?

Thanks....

Not a bad choice, but in my mind and from
an installers point of view, I think the
Micro 2001c is a better choice due to the
tachless operation. The Commando piece works
better on Japanese cars and trucks as
opposed to the Micro. You also would need
relays for the locks, and a transmod bypass
if your ignition key is Grey
(Chrysler "smart" ignition security)

The other reason is range too. The 750 you get
out of the ez2500 and the 1000 out of the Micro.
Your call, but we put them both in here, and
we see more traffic for the Micro by far.

Either way, make sure the install is done right.
Makes all the difference for overall performance.

Good luck with it,
If you want a Micro 2001, They are
in stock and ready to ship. So are
all the pieces and parts you'll need.
I also sell the EZ2500 if you still
prefer to go with that one.

Let me know.
