Car Alarms: Horn chirps on 02 F-150, oem system, volunteer service

Question -
The horn "chirps" when the truck is locked or unlocked with just one click of the remote since new.  This is the System 3/4 OEM? or dealer install.  The owner's manual says you can defeat the horn and retain the other alarm features, but does not describe how. I know where the valet switch/indicator light is as well and the emergency defeat switch. I would like to defeat the annoying horn chirp.

The answer I got was "Not my area of expertise"  Would someone please route this to a person who is familiar with the very common Ford security system?

You would need to locate a Ford technician.
We deal with aftermarket issues here.
Try going to a Ford truck forum online,
or going to the dealer to see how to
modify the OEM system. I don't know anyone
to route this question to since we do not get
into these systems. That is what was
meant by "Not my area of expertise".
