Small Engines (Lawn Mowers, etc.): Accessing carb on McCulloch Eager eaver, eaver, air filter

Question
How do I get to the carb on this chainsaw?

Answer
Unfortunately, you have to totally disassemble the whole saw, which
is a long involved project, removing the bolts from the front, the block and tanks are exposed when the shell is pulled away.
The tanks outlets fit into a socket, and with its age reassembling
without the saw leaking badly is rare.
If I have a customer bring one in, I dump out the old fuel, put in
fresh.  Then I back the carb mixture screws out another full turn,
and remove the air filter, and squirt some carb spray in the carb
and try to start it.  If it starts then dies, I keep doing it for a bit, hopefully the fresh fuel will work its way through the carb
enough to get it to stay running, then I readjust the carb, with any luck that will get it going.  Otherwise, I won't work on one.
But if you tackle the job, go real slow, as finding parts for it
will be close to impossible, except of course, the carb kit.

Hope this helps,
