Question -
I have a 1997 dodge caravan that I bought used. My husband and I use the car so we need a copy of the remote key. I don't want to spend $40 for a copy of my remote key in the dealership . My remote key has no panic button (just lock/unlock)so I don't know how I can program a new cheaper remote key I can buy of the internet. I would like to compeletely take off the alarm and just use the regular key. Can you help me? When I try to open the car with the regular key the alarm always goes off.
Answer -
No sorry. Short of removing the keyless
system and doing without, there
is no cheaper way. You can always buy a new
keyless entry system for 40.00 with 2
new remotes and start over from scratch.

It's a better deal, but not a freeby.

You can see these at
www.KEYLESSCAR.com

Good luck with whatever you choose.

Answer
You should get the wiring chart at www.wirewerx.com
for the Caravan so you can reverse engineer it,
locate the proper wires in the truck,
and remove the aftermarket system you have
in there.

If unsure, take it to a tech near you to do it.

Good luck with it.
