Car Alarms: kill switch, side kick panel, toyota supra

Question
You say be specific as possible, get ready here it goes.
I have an 84 Toyota Supra in which I had a viper romote alarm installed in awhile back. The problem now is that my car doesn't turn on. Thinking it was the car battery, I bought a new one. Well that solved the problem for a few days. Since then, my car just makes a click noise when I turn the key. I doubt it's my starter because my car didn't give any indication that my starter was going bad. Same thing with my alternator and ignition switch. One day my car turned on just fine and the next day, "click click". So I figured it was my alarm. I notice the LED light didn't blick like it use to. Now it gave three quick blinks back to back to back. I disconnected the alarm from the brain but come to find out, that only controls my door locks. When I hit the remote, the alarm is still active. Now it makes a faint noise. Sounds like a weak buzzer. I have a button under the dash which I push but it doesn't do anthing. I still can't get my car started. So I decide to try to kick start my car, (it's a standard). That didn't work either.By now I am thinking it has to be the kill switch. I pulled out almost all of my under dashboard. I checked to see if the alarm was connected to a fuse or even the battery to no avail. I finally just gave up and notice the LED light stayed on now. (Maybe that's what drained the battery). How can I disable the kill switch and where is it?

Answer
There are 2 alarms in this
vehicle. The one that was factory installed.
and the one with the aftermarket LED.

Let's start with grounding out the factory alarm
to make certain that is not the problem.
The FACTRY ALARM DISARM wire is green/red |-|
in the door harness high in the drivers side kick panel.
Also found at the anti-theft unit located behind
trim panel aft of drivers door in front of the rear
wheel well. Find it and ground it to the body of the car.

If your car does not start now, try this.
Put the key in the ignition, and turn forward
all the way just before cranking. Then within
5 seconds, press and hold in the valet/overide
button, found under the dash area in most cases,
until the installed LED (the blinking light)
in your dash area comes on solid.
(Your valet switch might be the toggle (on/off) type.
in this case, key on, flip switch in oposite direction,
key off.)

This should be valet. This overides the aftermarket alarm
and the starter kill relay in the alarm harness,
and returns the car back to disarmed mode.

The only thing that will work now on your system,
is the keyless entry if installed.

Just Repeat these steps to rearm your system.

And finally, if no joy there either, locate
the BLACK/WHITE wire in the ignition harness
coming of the key switch, locate the relay that
was installed in it, remove it, and re attatch the ends
of the starter wire back to pre relay condition.

That is all I can help with if it's related to
a malfunctioning alarm. If it's another problem
with the car, then at least you discounted the
secrutiy from being the trouble.

Good luck and let me know what you find.
